by Hecce incottage grove, minn. (ap) — a struggling minnesota church is asking its older parishioners to leave in hopes of making it more attractive to young families.. .

That may be why funeral/ memorial receptions are popular. There sure aren't any tears.
There were a couple last year locally. Invitations handed out outside the KH door because you can't do it in the hall. I went and the sister i wanted to cheat on my with didnt even show.

We got a local talk. Keep away from outside influences, and marginal witnesses(me?). Keep up prayer, study, all that. Dont worry about a lack of suitable marriage partners
They missed: changing doctrine no one can explain, tedious simple meetings, small service groups ( stagnant), simple presentations that are not realistic, limited territory if you do go out, old age and dashed expectations, " "special" people like pioneers . Dimwits appointed while bright ones are passed over ( one is a special ed quality guy), poverty. Probably more if I knew.
We know you cannot talk about these things ( lack of faith). And things are NOT worse than ever in the world.
The beatings will continue until morale improves. This was not as severe as some talks though, give credit where due.

"Fine Witness" diluted in latest experience
by neat blue dog inthe latest jwdotorg experience starts very familiarly:.
danielle, one of jehovah’s witnesses in south africa, found a bag that a customer had left behind in a coffee shop.
inside the bag was a wallet with money and credit cards.. when the owner met her to get it back,.

Languages, Dialects, Accents
by LoveUniHateExams injust though i'd start a thread devoted to languages, dialects/sociolects and accents, with the idea being that posters can comment on any language, or dialect or accent of any language, on this thread.. any phrases, expressions or idioms that you find interesting are also welcome.
first, the subject of english accents came up on another thread.. the british isles have many different types of accent (although many of the dialects may be dying out), and if i start to take a closer look, i can't help but see 'patterns' .... in received pronunciation of standard english, the letter r is pronounced initially, between vowels, and after consonants, e.g.
red, arrow, break.

Gaelic is fun to listen to. That is enough reason to learn some.
